In December 2025 the Government of Canada announces final Enhanced Methane Regulations, citing our October 2025 Market Forces blog post. Minister Dabrusin's announcement cited that regulations will create approximately 34,000 jobs between 2027-2040, validating our research with Ari Pottens, Maureen Lackner, and Chi Chia (Gina) Chen on the economic benefits of finalizing Canada's methane regulations.

On October 14, 2025, I hosted the MCET Pre-COP 30 Seminar - Americas Session on clean energy transitions in Latin America as part of our Environmental Defense Fund Economics Seminar Series. Our network work connects directly to understanding how energy policy design affects economic transitions and equity, critical as we approach COP 30. (Recording)
Participated as a panelist in EAERE 2025: Science-Policy-Business Session entitled “How climate policies are shaping the future of the labour market” in Bergen on June 16. This session was chaired by Simone Borghesi (University of Siena, European University Institute, and EAERE), and Joisa Campanher Dutra Saraiva (Fundação Getulio Vargas), Mi Ah Schøyen (OsloMet), and Alessia Fulvimari (European Commission) completed the panel.

EDF and UC Santa Barbara's Environmental Markets Lab are jointly recruiting 2-3 postdoctoral scholars in environmental and resource economics. Fellows will have direct access to Christopher Costello (emLab Research Director and EDF Chief Economist) while collaborating with our broader team at EDF and emLab on carbon pricing, nature-based climate solutions, and market design research that bridges science and policy.
EDF's Economic Analysis Hub, which I lead, is recruiting a High Meadows Fellow from Princeton University. This two-year role offers seniors an exceptional opportunity to conduct rapid-response climate economics analysis that directly informs policy decisions.
